Choose your word poem-a-thon

Authors: Aryan and Ayaan. Learners at The Integral School, Hyderabad

The learners and budding poets chose a word themselves and constructed a three to four line poem using the word they self selected.

FEATHER

In bad weather,

Was a flying feather,

With a piece of leather

EARTH

On earth

There was a birth

Of Louis Herth

GRASS

Rolling on the grass

A vessel of brass

Chased by  a lass

PEN

When

Did a hen

Give birth to men

With a pen

Named Ben

ROSE

The company Bose

Was selling a rose

To someone without a nose

RED

The red bed

Once fed

A person ED

ONE MORE ON RED

There was Ed

Who had a head

With a mop of red

PAINT

There was a saint

Who had a faint

When he tried to paint

BOOK

There was a book

About a cook

Who used to hook

Whatever he took

SONG

A boy named Tong

Was singing a song

Which was quite long

In a land full of sand

Was a hand

On a mat

There was a cat

Chasing a rat

On a chair

Sat a bear

With white hair

WATER

There was a Potter

Who used lot of water

To make a cutter

DARK

There was a dog named dark

Who always used to bark

When people go to the park

NEST

There was a boy named nest

He took a test

And became the best

LEAF

There was a thief

Who took some beef

In a piece of leaf

SMELL

Perfumes I sell

What is my smell

Can you please tell

ONE MORE ON SMELL

There was a King named smell

Ruled over hell

With a giant bell

And fell in a cell

WHITE

There was a white kite

Who always used to fight

With a knight

TOWEL

There was a towel

Who wrote a novel

About a bowel

WATCH

Sitting at the match

Throwing a watch

Trying to catch
